Unfortunately, the Gift This code that you received is for that specific title only and we cannot exchange it for another title. This is due mostly to agreements in place with the publishers.
How do I know if I've downloaded a title or file?
From within the My Library section of our site, you'll see a list of all titles you have purchase and are able to download.
By clicking on one of the titles in your My Library, you will see the files that you can download. Once a file has been downloaded, you will see a little green check mark appear to the left of the download's link:
How do I set my browser to ask where downloads are stored?
Each time you try to download files from the Internet, your browser will store those files in a temporary location, unless otherwise directed. The problem with storing files in a temporary location is that they are automatically deleted from that location when you close your browser or restart your computer.
To solve this, we recommend you change the browser from saving in a temporary location or auto-saving to a folder, to asking you each time where the file you are trying to download should be saved.
Google Chrome
1. Click the Tools menu. (The wrench in the upper-right corner)
2. Select Options.
3. Click the “Under the Hood” tab.
4. Scroll down to the section titled "Downloads" and check the "Ask where to save each file before downloading" box
5. Close the window
Firefox
1. Click the Firefox menu from the top-left of the window
2. Click on Options
3. From the General tab, select the radio button that says "Always ask me where to save files", located in the Downloads section
4. Click OK
Safari
1. Click Edit and then click Preferences
2. From the General tab, check the box that says "Always prompt before downloading"
3. Close the window
We do NOT recommend using Internet Explorer
This download is free. Can't I just download it and email it to my friends?
No, normal restrictions and copyright laws still apply.
The best option for sharing a free title with friend is to use the Gift This system and send them a code to download the title themselves. Another option would be to click the 'Share' button on that product's page and post it to Twitter, Facebook, or even send them an email alerting them to the title.

What are the copyright laws for eBooks?
The best answer to this question is that there is no practical difference between eBooks and printed works, as far as copyright is concerned. The copyright owner of an ebook has the same bundle of rights (e.g., reproduction, derivative works, distribution, etc.) that a copyright owner of a printed work has.
You, as an eBook reader, have the same responsibility to follow copyright laws as a print book reader. You wouldn't make 13 copies of a print book and give it to your friends, therefore you should not email an eBook file to others.

What format types are available for a video?
Video formats are dependent on the files that the provider of the title has provided us. All videos are DRM free.
MP4 format is a highly compatible video format that can play in most major video playing software and devices, including, but not limited to:
PC Windows with VLC, Windows Media Player, QuickTime, iTunes, etc.
Mac OS with VLC, QuickTime, iTunes, etc.
Apple iOS devices
Android devices
MP3 players with video support
And many other players and software
VideoLAN's free VLC media player can be downloaded, here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Apple's free QuickTime player can be downloaded, here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/
Apple's free iTunes media management software can be downloaded, here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Regardless of which format you decide to download, be sure you are using the latest and most up-to-date version of your operating system, internet browser, and media playing software to be sure download and playback errors are minimized. We do not recommend using a beta release of any internet browser as this can sometimes cause errors. We use Chrome, Firefox, and Safari here in our offices and recommend them. Click here for more information and recommendations on browser use.
What format types are available for an audiobook?
All spoken audio can be downloaded in at least one of the following digital formats: MP3, M4B, & ZIP (we do not provide WMA format).
MP3 format is the universal format and it will play on any computer system or any media player. Download MP3 if you are unsure which format to download.
M4B format is the newest and most optimized format for downloading. This format will work on Apple devices (iTunes, Quicktime, iPod, etc.). M4Bs are optimized to bookmark – or keep track of where you are in your audiobook – and allows easy access to chapters without having to fast-forward or rewind. If you have an Apple device (or a Windows machine and would like to use Quicktime to listen to your audiobook), we recommend the M4B format.
ZIP format is essentially a compressed folder that allows you to download an entire audiobook with only one click! ZIPs can be extracted on and are compatible with any computer system. ZIP files are generally provided for both MP3 and M4B formats. For more information on One-Click and the ZIP download, please read this related support topic.

PDF downloads are attached to some audio products as 'supplemental material' and may be a study guide, chapter title page, or book insert. This is NOT the eBook. eBooks are not included with the audiobook and must be purchased separately (unless otherwise indicated).
TXT downloads are files we place on products that are pre-orders. There is no need to download this file as it simply states that downloads are coming soon for this title. This file will disappear once audio files have been attached.
Regardless of which format you decide to download, be sure you are using the latest and most up-to-date version of your operating system, internet browser, and media playing software to be sure download and playback errors are minimized. We do not recommend using a beta release of any internet browser as this can sometimes cause errors. We use Chrome, Firefox, and Safari here in our offices and would recommend them. What internet browser should I use?
If you are experiencing problems with logging in to your account, checking out with the shopping cart, images and buttons not displaying at all or showing in odd locations, inability to download, or general issues navigating or using the site then you might be using an internet browser that does not support our digital downloads.
Our staff use and recommend the newest, full-release versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari and would NOT recommend Internet Explorer. We would also never recommend using a beta version of any browser unless you are a super techy, power user that can provide your own support.
If you are having issues, we suggest that you try using one of the three recommended browsers or ensure you are using the newest version, if you are already on one of them. You can find the newest version and download updates, here:
Google's Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome
Mozilla's Firefox: http://www.firefox.com
Apple's Safari: http://www.apple.com/safari
Many errors can be fixed by simply clearing your cache and restarting your computer. Click here to find more information on clearing your browser's cache.
What is a DRM Lite EPUB?
DRM stands for digital rights management, which is simply a way of identifying titles that have publisher imposed restrictions on sharing and permission settings on eBook files they provide for sale. The main purpose of DRM is to stop book purchasers from duplicating and sharing that book with others.
One type of DRM provided is what we like to call "DRM Lite" or "Watermark". Watermarked EPUB files are used just like any other EPUB file and your ability to use the file on any device of your choice is not prevented. We simply add an unobtrusive Watermark to the bottom of each section of your eBook that includes your name and the date of your purchase.
DRM Lite EPUBs are supported by any device or software that support the regular EPUB file including the NOOK, Kobo Reader, Apple iOS, Android, Sony Reader, PCs & Macs with the free Calibre software, and others.
What is Adobe DRM and how do I use it?
Adobe DRM is a digital rights management format that allows publishers to restrict sharing and enact permission settings on eBook files they provide for sale. For more information on the file formats we provide, click here.
How do I download Adobe DRM EPUB files?

Why do titles have DRM?
The choice to DRM a title is completely up to the publisher and we are responsible to provide the titles to you in the format deemed acceptable by the publisher. If a title is DRMed in our store, then the title is DRMed anywhere you can purchase it.
Can I use my iPad or iPhone to read eBooks with Adobe DRM?
You do have the ability to read Adobe DRM titles on your Apple iOS devices, so long as you use an Adobe DRM approved app. We recommend the Bluefire Reader app. Specific instructions for downloading Adobe DRM titles to an iOS device can be found here.
Can I use my Android phone or Tablet to read eBooks with Adobe DRM?

How can I read Adobe DRM titles on my Kindle?

What is 'One-Click Zip'?
One-Click Zip makes downloading audiobooks very easy! A zipped file creates a compressed version of the file that is considerably smaller than the original. This will allow you to download multiple files with one click.
Windows, Mac, and Linux users are able to handle compressed files and folders in .zip format without third party software.
To unzip a file in Windows:
1. Once you have saved the file, right-click the file and then click Extract or Extract All.
2. A pop up box will appear asking you where to place the files. Browse and choose a location to place the files on your computer.
3. Once you have selected a location and clicked 'extract', you will have access to the files in that location.
To Unzip a file in Mac:
1. Open "Finder" and navigate to the zip file you wish to unzip.
2. Double-click the file you wish to unzip.
3.The files contained within the zip file should now be automatically unzipped into a new folder, named the same as the original zip.
Note: You must extract the zip before you import to your media devices or programs.
What is the exchange or refund policy?
Within 30 days of placing your order through our online store, you may request a refund for any purchase that has not yet been downloaded.
Please note that we will not refund any order that has been downloaded unless we can confirm that the file(s) are corrupted from our servers or that the files are incompatible with your system and we are unable to provide a compatible version. Refund requests for titles where you accidentally ordered a quantity of more than one are handled on an individual basis.
The equivalent of an exchange for a download would be to provide a working file in place of the original, incompatible or corrupted file.
Status of downloads (whether you downloaded a title or not) are determined automatically through our system. All downloads are given at least twelve (12) download attempts. Each time you attempt to download a title, the counter will decrease.
All refunds and exchanges are ultimately at the discretion of our Customer Service representatives. Refunds are issued in the same manner as the original order was placed.
We do not price match downloads against other download sites nor do we refund a price difference in the event of a sale or special pricing event.
Why are there quantities for your downloads?
Having the ability to change the purchase quantity for hard goods like CDs or print books seems like a given; but what does it mean when you purchase more than a quantity of one for a digital download? The idea of buying more than one of a download doesn't make sense to many, especially when it is so easy to email a file to a friend or 'drag and drop' it to their device. But is this right? Is this the way the Bible would want us to act towards someone else's property?
We see the world as changing every day. All this technology can be used for purposes that are less than noble, but we consider what it might look like if we used technology to draw people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and disciple believers. And to better serve our customers and protect the intellectual interests of the providers on our site, we are offering you a way to obey copyright laws and protect your conscience with regards to our provider's content.
If you decide a title is great and you want to email a copy to your mom, simply change the quantity to 2 and purchase two copies. You'll only have to download it once, since it is in fact a digital product, but you will own the right to have two copies (one for yourself and one for someone else). Or, you may just want to use Gift This and purchase a download code that your mom can redeem for the download at her convenience.
Quantities are a great tool if you are the leader of a Bible study group and need to provide everyone with the study guide or the text.
- Of course, there are limitations to quantities:
- you cannot buy copies from our site and resell them
- you cannot purchase multiple copies with the intent of breaking or circumventing copyright laws
- if you accidentally purchase a quantity greater than one and we can confirm you have not downloaded the title multiple times, we will refund the additional item.
